Other Ways You Can Help

Your financial gift is the lifeblood of the African Wildlife Foundation. But there are also many things your can do in your own community to help create a brighter future for the animals - and the people - of Africa. Get involved today, and share these ideas with other caring friends.

• Join AWF's Rapid Response Network and raise awareness about AWF and wildlife issues online.
• Ask your local newspaper, TV, and radio stations to run stories about conservation and African animals. Write and submit your own editorials.
• Be aware of pending legislation that would affect the status of Africa's wildlife and tell your local officials about how you would like to see them vote.
• Volunteer for conservation and wildlife organizations.
• Travel responsibly. Learn about Safari Etiquette and about Ecotourism
• After you have read AWF's newsletter, African Wildlife News, share it with a friend or give it to a school, library or your doctor's office.
• "Gift-Wrap a Giraffe," by giving AWF membership to your friends and family for birthdays and holidays. You'll help them learn about the endangered wildlife and lands of African.
• Learn about endangered animals and share what you learn with others.
• Make AWF the beneficiary of an insurance policy you no longer need.
• "Put a heard of elephants in your will." Name AWF in your will or estate plans.
• "Download a wild sound or African wildlife wallpaper for your cell phone."
