The Africa Biodiversity Collaborative Group (ABCG), via its host organization African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), seeks a motivated Communications & Engagement Intern to support this partnership of seven U.S.-based non-governmental organizations with field programs in Africa: AWF, Conservation International, the Jane Goodall Institute, The Nature Conservancy, Wildlife Conservation Society, World Resources Institute, and World Wildlife Fund. By leveraging their collective resources, ABCG tackles complex and high priority conservation challenges across sub-Saharan Africa to achieve natural resource and biodiversity conservation in balance with sustained human livelihoods.

The Communications & Engagement Intern will have the opportunity to learn about communicating key messages, building brand awareness, and deepening stakeholder engagement that will protect wildlife and natural resources across the African continent. S/he will work closely with the ABCG Communications & Engagement Specialist to raise awareness, deepen stakeholder engagement, and promote ABCG’s efforts to address emerging and high-priority themes affecting biodiversity conservation in Africa.
