Conservation in Africa is not simply an African issue. Africa’s tremendous natural resources, including its iconic wildlife, are treasured and enjoyed by people from around the world. Africa’s conservation challenges must therefore be addressed by committed governments, NGOs, and stakeholders the world over.
In keeping with this philosophy, AWF has worked to expand our Board of Trustees with greater international representation. Consequently, AWF trustees hail from different countries throughout Africa, North America, and Europe and AWF is currently working to engage potential trustees from Asia. Going forward, we want to ensure a truly diverse board of trustees.
