African Wildlife Foundation and Gecko Publishing have launched a new partnership where the UK-based magazine publishing company will produce a customized version of each issue of its Travel Africa magazine to be supplied to 3,000 of AWF’s major donors and partners. A two-page conservation advertorial section supplied by AWF will additionally be featured in all regular issues of Travel Africa.

“With Africa’s wildlife and natural habitats under intense pressure, a conservation message underpins much of Travel Africa’s editorial message,” says Craig Rix, publisher of Gecko Publishing and its various titles, including Travel Africa. “The new partnership will enable the magazine to increase its coverage of these issues.”

AWF is one of the world’s largest and most active African conservation groups, with headquarters in Nairobi. It is a very strong lobbying voice in the fight to conserve Africa’s wildlife, and engages local communities, park authorities and a number of other stakeholders in a wide variety of projects across the continent.

The agreement was introduced with the current (Winter) issue of Travel Africa.
