Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge
A Luxurious Retreat that Helps the Community and Promotes Conservation
Nestled atop Nteko Ridge in southern Uganda, above the lush rain forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Clouds Mountain Gorilla Resort provides a luxurious home base from which to embark upon an extraordinary adventure.
Bwindi, after all, is home to half the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, offering visitors an incomparable opportunity to see these majestic primates up close and in their natural habitat.
In addition to providing guests a five-star retreat with dramatic views of the Virunga mountain range and the Great Rift Valley, Clouds is an African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) conservation enterprise. As the first of its kind in Uganda, Clouds provides a successful model of how communities and the private sector can partner to create a first-rate ecotourism enterprise that both benefits the local population and promotes conservation.
