WASHINGTON, DC--Take your photographs on a journey from Africa to the walls of the Smithsonian! AWF is now sponsoring a new African Wildlife category in the prestigious Nature's Best Photography Windland Smith Rice International Awards competition.

Every year the annual competition celebrates the beauty and diversity of nature through the art of photography. Winners of 19 separate categories will be featured in a large format, 6-month print exhibition at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC. A, AWF

The Grand Prize will also win a "Yellowstone in Winter" photo workshop provided by Arizona Highways Photo Workshops. Entries are judged on technical quality, originality, and artistic merit.

"AWF is excited to partner with Nature's Best Photography to introduce a new 'African Wildlife' category to their prestigious competition," says Craig Sholley, Vice President for Philanthropy and Marketing. "Entries will surely depict the magnificent beauty of Africa and its unparalleled wildlife and assist in building a greater appreciation for the importance of conserving the continent's unique wildlife and wild places."
