Handing Over a Precious Resource: A School

In 2023, we handed over the rebuilt Manyara Ranch Primary School to the district executive director, Monduli District Council in Manyara. The school was previously located in the wildlife corridor, which disrupted classes and endangered the safety of the students. We moved it to its new location to preserve the integrity of the corridor and ensure student safety. The new school and dorms are a long-term investment for children in the community.

Preventing Human-Wildlife Conflict

Bomas are traditional wooden or thorn-bush/wire mesh enclosures designed to keep cattle in and predators out. With our help, Maasai pastoralists living around Manyara Ranch have benefited from an upgrade: mobile, predator-proof, metal bomas. Our cost-sharing program reduces the financial burden of acquiring these improved bomas.
