Midterm Evaluation Consultant
Project: "Young Conservation Heroes" — Strengthening and Scaling Up Conservation Education for Conservation Impact in Tsavo Landscape, Kenya
Organization: African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), in partnership with Wildlife Clubs of Kenya (WCK)
Assignment
AWF is seeking to engage a qualified individual consultant or consultancy firm to conduct an independent Midterm Evaluation of the "Young Conservation Heroes" project. The evaluation will assess progress against the project's logframe targets (2024 baseline through 2028 end-line), covering conservation education outcomes delivered through Wildlife Clubs of Kenya in 137 primary and junior secondary schools across the Tsavo landscape.
Geographic scope: Taita Taveta, Kilifi, Kwale, Kajiado, Makueni, Kitui, and Tana River counties, Kenya
Duration: Approximately 40 consecutive calendar days from contract signing to final report delivery
Who should apply
Individual consultants or consultancy firms with an advanced degree in Social Sciences Research, Natural Resource Economics, Anthropology, Natural Resource Management, or Development Studies; at least 5 years of relevant evaluation experience in Kenya; and strong qualitative and quantitative research skills.
