African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) is an international conservation organization established in 1961. Working with the people of Africa, AWF works to ensure that Africa's wildlife and wild lands will endure forever. Based in Nairobi, Kenya, AWF has country offices in Tanzania, Uganda, Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of Congo, Niger, and Rwanda and is registered in the United States, UK, Canada, Switzerland and South Africa.

Since 2017, AWF's Cameroon country office has engaged with indigenous and local communities to create alternative livelihood opportunities in the Campo-Ma'an landscape. These livelihood opportunities include sustainable non-timber forest products harvesting and valorization, subsistence agriculture, agroforestry and beekeeping. Our programs and interventions with communities have gradually increased from 2 communities supported to 13 communities in 2022.

AWF Cameroon has received funding from KfW through the (basket fund) common fund with the title of project "to support the management and implementation of the development plan and the monitoring of ecotourism in Campo-Ma'an National Park and its peripheral zone”. One of the key aspects of this project is to support indigenous and local communities in the development of NWFPs and sustainable agricultural practices.

AWF is soliciting three proposals from local NGOs in Cameroon to support the implementation of the three project activities as indicated in the document.
